Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the opening of a cover for a plastic bottle by forming a scribing groove at the lower oblique part of a sealer, forming a notch from the end of the groove to the bottom end of the sealer and forming a knob projected in a circular-arc shape along the side surface of the sealer. CONSTITUTION:A scribing groove 5 is formed from one point of a trearing line 4 to be cut to its lower oblique part at a sealer 2 from a cap 3, a notch 8 is formed from the end 6 of the groove 5 to the bottom end 7 of the sealer, and a knob piece 11 projected in a circular-arc shape along the side surface 10 of the sealer is formed with one edge of the notch 8 as a base 9. In case of opening the cap, when the knob piece 11 is pulled outwardly with fingers, the piece 11 is bent, a stress is concentrated by a lever action at an interlocking part 15, causing the part to start cutting, and the stress concentration is further moved toward the end, causing the part to be gradually cut. Since the notch is then moved from the notch 8 cut in advance to the groove 5, the sealer can be cut and opened.
