Abstract
1479729 Packaging cans ROBINSON MULTIPLE PACKAGING Ltd 16 Oct 1974 [29 Oct 1973] 50271/73 Heading B8C A blank of foldable sheet material for forming into a holder for a can 15 having a neck portion so that the rim 17 at the top of the can does not project laterally beyond the can sides, comprises a top panel 10 joined by hinged lines 12 to side panels, a first pair of major cuts 17 having ends in the hinged lines and central portions extending into the side panels, a pair of minor cuts 24 extending generally downwards from opposite end portions of each major cut 17, a longitudinally extending line of weakening 18 in each side panel coinciding with the shoulder 19 of the can, and comprising a second major cut 22 below each major cut 17 to form a strip 28 between the cuts, the strip being urged under the rim of the can when the holder is put over the can. There may be lines of weakening 26 between the ends of cuts 22 and 24.
