On the other hand, an arithmetic processing part 23 that performs various controllings emits a copying operation signal D indicating the copying operation under working and under standby together with an optical movement command signal C according to reduction and unmagnification copying mode setting signals A, B. The signals A, B are supplied to one input end of AND circuits 24, 26, and the signal D is supplied via an inverter circuit 25 to the other input end. The inconvenience of increasing distortion of copied images is eliminated by this and the normal copying operation is accomplished.
