Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate uneven temperature distribution among heat exchangers in an air liquefying separator equipped with a plural number of change-over type heat exchangers by providing a control system that is operated on the basis of a control target-value which is temperature in the reheat air main pipe and of controlled variables which are temperatures at reheat air outlets of respective heat exchangers. CONSTITUTION:The symbols 1-n represent a series of change-over type heat exchangers which can be separated into, for example, two groups. The air passage and return impure gas passage can be switched by group. Each heat exchanger is provided with a temperature controller TC1, TC2, TC3,...TCn and an automatic valve RV1, RV2, RV3...RVn in series in the reheat air passage. Control target-value can be set taking a value of temperature Tw at a moment of half a passage-switching cycle where Tw represent a temperature in the reheat air main pipe. Then, deviations of temperatures in the middle of the respective heat exchangers T1, T2...Tn from the control target-value are obtained by the corresponding temperature controllers and respective active and dead zones corresponding to those values are established to control corresponding automatic valves RV1, RV2...RVn.
