Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce generation of a microscopic waterdrop resulting from a flashing by providing a flashing chamber which causes a slow pressure drop from an inlet pipe of geothermal water to a flasher apparatus, in a titled flasher which is used for a geothermal power plant. CONSTITUTION:In a geothermal power plant system, geothermal water from a geothermal well is separated from steam by a separator, the remnant geothermal water is led into a flasher for vaporization and said steam is supplied to a turbine. Then, a flashing chamber 23 is formed in the upper part of a container housing 21 of the flasher through partition plates 22a-22c, one side opening of which is connected with a geothermal water inlet 24. The flashing chamber 23 is formed so as to increase gradually its cross sectional area toward a panel 25. A porous plate 26 separating a flashing steam passage from a drain passage is provided, and the front and the rear of the porous plate 26 are connected with vertical porous plates 27 and 28 for formation of a steam separation chamber 29 as well, which is so constituted that the separated steam can be discharged from an outlet 31.
