Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain the detection of speed with high accuracy regardless of a high or low speed, by selecting the speed signal based on the two pairs of frequency signals corresponding to the speeds of phases different by π/2 in a low- speed mode and the reverse signals of the above-mentioned frequency signals.
CONSTITUTION: Detection outputs PA and PB having the frequency (f) corresponding to the speed given from a pulse generator 101 with the phases different by π/2 are processed through reverse amplifiers 102 and 103, pulse converting circuits 104 and 105 plus a quadrupling circuit 106 respectively to produce an output of frequency (f). Then the voltage corresponding to the speed given from a frequency-voltage converter 107 incorporating an integral network, etc. is produced. On the other hand, the outputs PA and PB plus their reverse outputs are applied to switches S1WS4 of a synchronous rectifying circuit 109 which is controlled by the coutput of the circuit 106 via a differentiating circuit 108 to produce the voltage corresponding to the speed in a low-speed mode. The outputs of these converter 107 and curcuit 109 are selected by a detecting circuit 110 according to a high or low speed. In a low-speed mode, the output of the converter 107 having a reduction of accuracy is not selected. Thus the detection of speed is possible with high accuracy regardless of a high or low speed.
