Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the detection of a clamping load with high accuracy and high stability, by setting a ring-shaped groove having a specific section width plus inner and outer radii in a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A load sensor 5 contains a ring-shaped groove having an inner radius r1, an outer radius r2 plus a section width (d) which is concentric to the center of a ring-shaped main iron core 1. A magnetism measuring coil 3 consisting of an energizing coil and a magnetic flux detecting coil is stored in the above-mentioned groove. An auxiliary iron core 2 having the inner and outer radii r1 and r2 is stacked on the core 1 to form a magnetic circuit. In addition, the center position (r) of the groove storing the coil 3 is set within a range of (r1+d/2)<r<(r1+r2)/2 measured from the side of the inner radius. Thus the clamping load can be easily detected with high accuracy and high stability.
