CONSTITUTION:A coil 1A is wound on a detection cylinder 3 symmetrically in a ring to both ends P2 from the center thereof while increasing or decreasing unidirectionally or linearly, in a logarithmic relationship or in a step from one end P1 to the other end P2 thereof concerning the coil shape. The movement of a core 2 provided inside is detected from a variation in the inductance of a coil 1A. Therefore, the variation in the position can be determined accurately. The change in the number of turn can be set by a desired function thereby enabling the desired detection of the specifications being prepared in accordance therewith.
