Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to detect the variation in the magnetic flux of a materials, which simplifying the measurement, by detecting the magnetic flux variation with the use of a search coil, which is attached to the head end of a detector of a magnetic characteristic meter, so that the variation is compared with the fundamental signals stored in a memory.
CONSTITUTION: First of all, a magnetic field is generated under the condition having no magnetic sample 8, and the magnetic flux of a search coil 10 is stored in an amplifier 14, Then, the magnetic field is generated under the condition having the sample 8, and the magnetic flux at that time is detected by an amplifier 13. The magnetic flux of the amplifier 13 contains that which is induced by the sample 8. If, therefore, a difference is deduced between the magnetic fluxes of the amplifiers 14 and 13, the magnetic flux induced in the sample 8 can be obtained. Then, adjustment is made by a comparator circuit 15 such that the magnetic fields are in phase with the signals of the amplifiers 14 and 13 thereby to obtain the magnetic flux to be induced by the sample 8. A detector 16 detects the signals of the magnetic field, whereas X-Y recorder 17 displays both the signals of a comparator circuit 15 and the detector 16 at the same time. Thus, it is possible to obtain the characteristic relationship of the sample 8 between the magnetic field in the longitudinal direction and the magnetic flux.
