Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure a large torque with a small rotary torque, by securing the engagement between a planetary gear and the inner and outer gears of a guide disk and multiplying the rotary torque applied to a shaft by the number of teeth. CONSTITUTION:When a grip part 26c is turned clockwise, an idler 23 turns counterclockwise along with a bevel gear 23d. Thus a planetary gear 24 engaging an outer gear 23b turns clockwise, and a guide disk 22 also turns clockwise to turn a shaft 21 clockwise. The torque around the rotary center of the disk 22 is applied to the shaft 21 in the form of a large torque obtained by multiplying the torque applied to the part 26c by the number of teeth of an operation handle and the idler 23 plus the number of teeth of the idler 23 and the disk 22. At the same time, the multiplied torque is applied also to a twist spring 25, and the degree of deformation is read by a pointer 23c of the idler and the scale 22d of the disk 22. thus the torque can be measured when the shaft 21 starts its rotation.
