Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a solar-heat collecting apparatus, which is capable of reducing the costs of power required for collecting solar heat and operating a control system almost to zero, by driving a heating-medium circulating pump by use of a solar battery. CONSTITUTION:In a heat collecting circuit consisting of a solar heat collector 1, a heat-accumulating water tank 2, a heating-medium circulating pump 3, etc. connected via a piping 5, a solar battery 20 is used as a driving source for the heating-medium circulating pump 3. With such an arrangement, starting and stopping of operation of the pump and control on the flow rate of heating medium can be accomplished automatically in response to the intensity of the solar rays, and no externally supplied electric power is required for operating the pump and automatic control means. By thus utilizing natural energy appropriately in the above-described manner, it is enabled to reduce consumption of external electric power to zero and to collect heat at a low cost, although the initial installation cost is increased slightly.
