Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the discharging of desorbed SO2 and to minimize the supply atm. of an inert gas by providing an inert gas injection nozzle and an SO2 concn. sensor to the throttling part in the intermediate part of a desorbing tower, and supplying the inert gas in accordance with the concns. of the SO2.
CONSTITUTION: An inert gas nozzle 6 is formed as a throttling part 2 in roughly the central part of a body 1 of a desorbing tower. Slope parts 3a and 4a of a heating part 3 and a cooling part 4 are formed in a circular coincal shape above and below the part 2. An adsorbent 10 adsorbing SO2 desorbs sulfur contents in the heating part 3, and an inert gas G such as N2 supplied from the nozzle 6 through a supply pipe 7 and an inert gas chamber 15 is injected. The desorbed SO2 ascends together with the inert gas G and is discharged as an SO2 mixed gas G' to the outside of the tower. The concn. of SO2 of the gas sucked through an SO2 suction pipe 8 is measured with an SO2 sensor 9, and in correspondence to the concn. of the SO2, the inert gas G of an amt. enough to allow the SO2 to be discharged to the outside of the tower is supplied by controlling a valve 12. The adsorbent is returned to the desulfurizing device after it is cooled in the cooling part 4.
