Abstract
PURPOSE:To satisfactorily remove a developer from an electrostatic recording medium, by providing plural cleaning blades, always pressing one of them against the recording medium, and separating the other blade from the medium whenever a connecting part of the recording medium comes in. CONSTITUTION:When rollers 1, 2 are driven and rotated in the direction as indicated with an arrow B, an electrostatic recording medium 3 circulates and runs in the direction as indicated with an arrow E, an electrostatic latent image is formed on this medium 3 by a recording head 4, a developer 20 is made to adhere by a developing device 6, and said latent image is developed. Subsequently, when this electrostatic recording device becomes an operating state, solenoids 7, 8 are turned on, by which moving iron cores of the solenoids 7, 8 are drawn in, blade holderes 9, 10 are turned counterclockwise against springs 11, 12, then edge parts of blades 15, 16 are pressed against the surface of the recording medium 3, and a developer 20 is removed from the recording medium 3. In this regard, the solenoid 7 is always turned on, but the solenoid 8 is turned off whenever a connecting part 3a of the recording medium 3 comes in the proximity of the blade 16.
