Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a device small in size, and also to execute a recording process at a high speed, by constituting so that a toner layer having charge of the first polarity if formed on a toner carrier, and after that, charge of the polarity being opposite to the first polarity is irradiated in accordance with picture information. CONSTITUTION:When a donor roller 1 functioning as a toner carrier is driven and rotated at a constant speed, a tone layer of suitable thickness is formed by a doctor blade 3 constituting a side plate of a hopper 2, and this toner layer is charged uniformly to the positive polarity. In the center of the tip surface of this donor roller 1, a thin window transmission electronic beam recording tube 4 is provided wo that the scanning direction is horizontal and a window 4a lightly contacts with the toner layer on the circumferential surface of the donor roller, and by a horizontal deflecting electrode 4b, an electronic beam deflected in accordance with a pattern signal based on picture information is made to transmit the window 4a to scan it horizontally, and a charge pattern of the negative polarity corresponding to a picture signal is formed on the toner layer.
