Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a high-reliability sensor which has a stable protective layer by providing a black light-shielding layer, which has a slit window for guiding information light from an original, on one surface of a transparent base plate having a photoelectric converting element on the other surface. CONSTITUTION:A transparent base plate 11 has a photoelectric converting element 12 of CdS, Si, etc., on its reverse side, and a black light-shielding plate 16 having a slit window 17 for leading light in the center is vapor-deposited on the top surface. Then, the photoelectric converting element 12 is protected completely by an opaque protective layer 15, and signals are led out through electrodes 13 and 14. Further, the black light-shielding plate 16 decreases an S/N ratio by the propagation of leakage light in the transparent base plate 11.
