Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure a distance following ''swaying motion'' of a reflector, by deciding ''shifting direction'' of a distance measuring beam against the reflector, in accordance with a calescene point position which has appeared on the monitor of an X-Y tracker, and operating the servo-mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam which has been reflected 2 is converted to a video signal 50 by a television camera 16, and is transferred to an X-Y tracker 32 and a television monitor 34. The tracker 32 sends out a DC difference signal 52 corresponding to a distance difference between a calescence point and a reference coordinate original point on the surface of the monitor, which are not shown in the figure, to a servo-amplifier 48, and a motor signal 56 from the amplifier 48 is applied to driving motors 20 and 22. Also, an automatic following controller 58 to which the signal 52 is applied sends out a retrieval control signal 60 or a zooming signal 62 at the time point when the calescence point has disappeared from the monitor surface, and the calescence point is caught once again on the monitor surface.
