Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce a titled wire rod of superior mechanical strength and superconductive characteristics by forming a molding of a mixture of the powder or fibers of a copper alloy consisting Nb or V type metals and 2 elements or metals deforming easily to a wire rod and subjecting the same to a heat treatment.
CONSTITUTION: Metallic powder or fibers of Nb or V type and ≥1 kind of powder or fibers of alloys of two element metals such as of Cu-Sn alloys, Cu- Ga alloys, Cu-In alloys, Cu-Al alloys, Cu-Mg alloys, Cu-Mn alloys or alloys of ≥3 elements combining these are mixed. In the stage of this mixing, metal that deforms easily, for example, Cu or the like is beforehand stuck on part of the Nb or V or copper alloy type. The resultant mixture is molded, and the molding is subjected to section reducing processing to a wire rod. This wire rod is subjected to a heat treatment, whereby a superconductive intermetallic compd. is formed.
