Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to execute highly stable measurement of quantity of electricity of a low noise level, by dividing two optical intensity signals by an addition signal of the two optical intensity signals taken out from an optical application sensor. CONSTITUTION:From an optical application sensor 20 in which light from a light source 10 enters, polarizing component in the direction of the optical axis of the electrooptical effect element is given to a light detectors 31 and 32. The detector 31 outputs an optical intensity signal which is expressed by (1+fsig), and the detector 32 outputs an optical intensity signal represented by (1+fsig). An adding device 50 adds up these two optical intensity signals and puts out a signal I. A subtracting device 40 subtracts these two optical intensity signals and puts out a signal Fsig. A dividing device 60 divides the signal Fsig by the signal I and puts out a signal Fsig. Since this division output is free from a term containing noise and loss rate, by measuring a value of the signal fsig, it is possible to execute a stable measurement of quantity of electricity without being affected by noise, etc.
