Abstract

PURPOSE:To inspect the leakage safely and accurately without rise in the running cost by a leakage inspection using ozone. CONSTITUTION:Ozone is generated in air fed from an air source of an air compressor 11 or the like with an ozone generator 12 in a closed chamber 27 by discharging it or the like and air containing ozone is stored in a storage pressure tank 14. Then, the air is fed to an object 19 to be inspected housed in the closed container 20 according to the operation of a valve. Ozone leaked into the container 20 from the body 19 being inspected is detected with an ozone detector 22. Thus, the use of ozone easily formed from air but originally contained in the air as medium eliminates the dependence on gas high in the running cost such as helium and air pressure. Thus, a leak inspection can be done safely and accurately without rise in the running cost.
