PURPOSE: To obtain the titled agent having strong platelet coagulation suppressing activity and low side effects, by using 2-[4-(2-thienylcarbonyl)phenyl]propionic acid or its salt as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: The agent contains the compound of formula or its salt as an active component. It is applied in the form of e.g. tablet, capsule, injection, suppository, etc. The compound of formula has strong platelet coagulation suppressing activity and weak effect to inhibit the biosynthesis of PGI2. It is administered usually in doses of preferably 20W100mg, 3 times daily. The agent is effective for the prevention and remedy of cerebral thrombosis, arteriosclerosis, cardiac infarction, etc. The compound of formula is known as an analgesic and antiphlogistic agent.
