Abstract
PURPOSE:To expand bias margin, by embedding a non-magnetic body, which causes lattice distortion to a bubble holding layer, into the hollow section in a contiguous disk bubble transfer path which is formed by hollowing out on a surface magnetizing layer. CONSTITUTION:To bubble holding layer 2 is formed on a garnet single-crystal substrate 1, and then, a surface magnetizing layer 4, from which pattern shape of a transfer path absent of pattern gap is eliminated, is formed on the aforementioned layer. And, a non-magnetic body 5, such as silicon oxide, etc., which is capable of giving compressing pressure to the bubble holding layer 2 underneath, is embedded into the hollowed out section. As it is possible, by doing so, for the compressing pressure to cause lattice distortion to the bubble holding layer 2 allowing bubble 3 to be attracted to the lattice distortion, as a result, it is possible to expand bias margin.
