Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a core wire which is improved of creep rupture ductility and strength and is prevented of generation of thermal stress by adding Nb, Mo, Ti, Zro to Cr-Ni alloy steel to the extent of not degrading weldability.
CONSTITUTION: A core wire consisting, by weight %, of 0.02W0.075 C, 0.1W1.5 Si, 2.0W3.0 Mn, 32W38 Ni, 21W25 Cr, 1.0W1.6 Mo, 0.1W1.0 Nb, 0.1W0.5 Ti and/or 0.1W0.5 Zr and the balance Fe and impurities. Here, Nb is liminted within the above-mentioned range in order to improve high temp. strength and high temp. ductility and to obtain sufficient strength and ductility. Mo improves high temp. strength and fortifies grain boundaries but if it is too much, workability and oxidation resistance are degraded and a σ phase is easy to deposit. Ti improves strength and ductility together with high temp. ductility but if it is too much, it degrades weldability. Zr has the effect similar to that of Ti, and is limited in the above-mentioned range in order to improve ductility and strength.
