Abstract
PURPOSE:To apply the same level of balance and bending force to both upper and lower working rolls, by supplying the hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic cylinder through a hydraulic pressure paths provided to a piston rod and its guide block to expand the piston rod. CONSTITUTION:The hydraulic pressure supplied through a hydraulic piping 13 reaches a hydraulic sink 13'' through a hydraulic pressure hole 13' and flows into a hydraulic pressure room (a) through a hydraulic pressure hole 13'' of a piston rod d1 and also into a hydraulic pressure room (a') through a communicating hole 18. Thus the hydraulic pressure functions between a cylinder block 4 and a piston 6, and the block 4 and either one or both of piston rods d1 and d2 move up and down. As a result, the block 4 is pressed to the projected part of the upper working roll chock, and at the same time a lifting block 5 is pressed to the projected part of the lower working roll chock respectively. Thus the upper and lower working roll chocks are pressed up and down to apply the same roll balance and roll bending force to the upper and lower working rolls.
