Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability for results of a measurement by employing an optically measuring device to measure the suction of a sample by a multi- pipet when the sample in a sample cup is sucked with the pipet and distributed into a plurality of reaction measuring tubes by specified quantity each with a reagent. CONSTITUTION:A multi-pipet 70 made of a transparent material sucks up a designed amount of a reagent 8 at the sample sucking position and a small amount of air 71. Then, with the movement thereof (blood) in the sample cup to the sucking position, the multi-pipet 70 sucks the planned amount of the sample 72 at this position. Then, the multi-pipet 70 moves to a reaction measuring tube through an optically measuring device 20 for checking the suction of the sample. The device 20 is made up of a plurality of photoelectric element 22 and a synchronizing photoelectric element 22a and an interference filter 21 for converting a light source to a wavelength of about 455mm. facing them. When the multi- pipet 70 passes the measuring device 20, the upper and lower limit position of the sample is determined based on the conversion of the voltage obtained from the photoelectric element 22. This enables quick and accurate checking of the suction of fuel.
