Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the liquid compression and the over-compression without causing the compression damage or increasing the bending stress of a flapper valve by constructing such that a resiliently supported valve stopper will displace under excessive pressure to increase the effective delivery area. CONSTITUTION:Under the steady driving where there is no excessive pressure, a flapper valve 58 will displace in the range regulated by a valve stopper 57 around the fixed supporting end or a supporting shaft 59. Consequently the maximum bending stress of the flapper valve 58 will never exceed the level to be determined by the curvature R of the valve stopper 57. While under the non- steady state where the liquid compression and the over-compression have occurred, the valve stopper 57 will float against a coil spring 61. Consequently the sufficiently large gap is produced between the flapper valve 58 contacting tightly with the valve stopper 57 and a valve seat 62 to discharge the large amount of fluid to the exterior thus to prevent the liquid compression and the over-compression.
