Abstract
PURPOSE: When alkylated aromatic hydrocarbons are subjected to catalytic dealkylation under specific conditions, a catalyst containing three metallic groups, the first one of cobalt or nickel, the second one of chromium or molybdenum and the third group of copper or silver, is used to increase the yield.
CONSTITUTION: In the catalytic dealkylation of alkylated aromatic hydrocarbons, a catalyst is used, which is prepared by supporting (A) one or both of cobalt or nickel by 0.1W10wt% in concentration, (B) at least one of chromium, molybdenum and tungsten by 1W20wt% and (C) at least one selected from copper, silver, sinz, cadmium, antimony and bismuth by 0.01W10wt% on a support, preferably γ-alumina, and the hydrocarbons are treated at 450W650°C and 1W 100kg/cm2, preferably at 500W600°C and 30W70kg/cm2 in the presence of hydrogen.
