PURPOSE:To make temperature rise and mechanical strength in case of short circuit uniform and improve space factor by a method wherein the height of a winding of large capacity side is made higher than that of small capacity side and the width of the winding of the large capacity side and that of the small capacity side are made nearly the same. CONSTITUTION:The height of a split winding 19 of the large capacity side is made higher than the height of a split winding 20 of the small capacity side and the widths of those two split windings 19 and 20 are made nearly the same. Corresponding to above constitution, the height of the large capacity winding portion 21A of the upper and lower parallel winding 21 is made higher than the height of the small capacity winding portion 21B of the windings 21 and the widths of those two winding portions 21A and 21B are made nearly the same. In order to realize this composition, the thicknesses t of the wires 23 and wires 24 which compose the split winding 19 and the split winding 20 respectively should be identical and their widths W should be changed according to the capacity ratio and at the same time the thicknesses T of the oil-spacer 25 and the oil-spacer 26 which are used for the split winding 19 and the split winding 20 respectively should be changed according to the capacity ratio.
