Abstract
PURPOSE: An additive for a liquid fuel enhancing combustion perforamance of the liquid fuel and suppressing NOx and a sulfur compd. in the combustion gas, which is prepd. by compounding a liquid fuel contg. a microorganism with an alkaline earth metal element and a transition element.
CONSTITUTION: An oil-soluble soln. prepd. by dispersing a microorganism in a liquid fuel such as kerosene or gas oil is compounded with a sugar, a nitrogen group element such as phosphorus, an alkaline earth metal element such as calcium or magnesium and a transition element such as manganese. Although an additive giving strong resistance for survival and proliferation of the microorganism is obtd. it is desirable to further add molybdenum and/or cobalt in order to accelerate proliferation rate of the microorganism. The microorganism added to said additive is pref. nitrogen-fixing bacteria, suflur bacteria, etc.
