Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a combustion efficiency and suppress production of harmful materials generated by the combustion by a method wherein fine particles of an iron compound shown by a formula MO.nFe2O3 are burnt together with fuel.
CONSTITUTION: In case crude oil series fuel is burnt, fine particles of an iron compound shown by a general formula MO.nFe2O3 (here, M is a bivalent metal represented by Co, Ni, Sn, V, Ti, Fe, Mn, Cr, Cu, Zn, Ba, Ca, Mg or the like and (n) is an integer except zero) are burnt together with the fuel. In this case, the fine particles are mixed with the fuel directly, or mixed with the fuel after being dissipated into solvent medium in a colloidal state or supplied to the combustion flame, to burn it with the fuel. According to this method, not only the production of harmful materials is suppressed after burning but also a combustion efficiency may be improved remarkably and a fuel consumption may also be improved.
