Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of sludge produced during prolonged storage, to improve the oxidation stability and to improve shade and transparency of a light gas oil, by a method wherein a deasphalted oil dewaxed by the addn. of kerosine or light gas oil to obtain a dewaxed oil is blended with light gas oil.
CONSTITUTION: Kerosine or light gas oil is introduced through a pipe 2 into a reservoir 1. A deasphalted oil is introduced through a pipe 3 into the reservoir 1 in such a proportion as to give a mixt. consisting of 90W50vol% of kerosine or light gas oil and 10W50vol% of the deasphalted oil. Steam is introduced through a heating steam-supply pipe 6 into the reservoir where the oils are stirred with heating at a temp. of 30W70°C by means of a stirrer 8 and the resulting mixt. is cooled. Then the resulting supernatant liquid which is a dewaxed oil is withdrawn through a supernatant liquid-discharging pipe 4 to obtain the dewaxed oil. 10W5vol% of the dewaxed oil is mixed with 90W95vol% of light gas oil to obtain the desired fuel oil compsn.
