Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a solid fuel which does not emit black smoke during combustion, is easily ignitable and has high culorific value, by a method wherein a thermoplastic resin waste is dissolved in heated petroleum, cooled and solidified.
CONSTITUTION: One liter of petroleum such as kerosine, light oil or heavy oil, or a mixed liquid of the petroleum and water is stirred with heating. 2.5W3kg of a waste of a thermoplastic resin such as PE, PP or PS is introduced into the petroleum or the mixed liquid to dissolve the waste. The dissolved waste is cooled and solidified.
