Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a granular, sanitary, highly lustrous, and inexpensive black pigment by a method in which carbon, asphalt, paraffin, and cobalt pigment are mixed together in specific weight ratios and then fused by heating.
CONSTITUTION: On the basis of the whole weight, 30W50% carbon and 70W50% asphalt are mixed and the mixture is mixed with 1W3% paraffin as an additive to completly fuse and 1W5% cobalt pigment with stirring. Then, the mixture is fused by heating to obtain granular black pigment not scattering into the air. Thus, a granular, sanitary (because of no intrusion into the eyes, nose, lung, etc. of the workers), and highly lustrous black pigment can be obtained.
