Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an audio amplifier which has an extremely low distortion factor by detecting the collector current of a driver transistor (TR) by an audio negative feedback amplifier, and then feeding it back to the base of a predriver TR positively.
CONSTITUTION: An audio signal inputted to an input terminal 1 drives a predriver TRQ1, which drives driver TRs Q2 and Q3. Output TRs Q4 and Q5 are driven by the TRs Q2 and Q3 to output an amplified signal to a load resistance Rl. The collector current of the TRQ2 is supplied through a current detection resistance R5, and paet of a detected current is fed back to the base of the TRQ1 positively through a feedback resistance R6. Thus, the TRQ4 decreases in (hfe) and the collector current of the TR1 is increased so that an increment in the base current of the TRQ2 is compensated. Therefore, even if the hFE of the TRQ4 decreases, a sufficient driving current is obtained and the distortion factor of an output is improved.
