Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the exhaust of NOX in exhaust gas in a premixture combustion device for burning premixture gas of fuel and air in a combustion body by installing a multilayer metallic mesh or other porous member on the body. CONSTITUTION:Combustion air is sucked as primary air by gas jet injected from a fuel nozzle 1, the mixture gas is supplied through a venturi type mixture tube 2 to a burner body 3, is then injected from an upper injection hole 6, and is ignited and burnt. In such a device, an air hole 10 opened at the upstream side of the tube 2 is opened and closed by a solenoid valve 7. A porous member 12 which is made of multilayer metallic mesh or foamable metal and is coated with oxidized catalyst as required is arranged on the burner body 3. The valve 7 is closed at the igniting time, and primary air of the amount less than theoretical air amount is supplied. On the other hand, the valve is opened at the ordinary burning time, and primary air of the amount more than the theoretical air amount is supplied.
