Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve corrosion resistance of a fused zinc plated steel plate by spray-coating aqueous slkyd resin mixed with corrosion resistant pigment before solidification of zinc when molten zinc is plated on the surface of a steel plate.
CONSTITUTION: Fused zinc 5 is plated on the surface of a steel plate 7. while the plated zinc is in fused state, aqueous alkyd resin paint 6 mixed with corrosion resistant pigment 3 such as Al, Sn, Cr is spray-coated with an air spray gun, electrostatic spray gun etc. Fused Zn on the surface of the steel plate 7 is mixed with the resin paint 6 to form a composite film 4 of zinc-corrosion resistant pigment, and solidified. This is then cooled forcibly to prevent excessive heating of hardened film 6 by heat of the steel plate 7. Thus, a fused Zn plating film excellent in film cohesion and corrosion resistance is formed.
