PURPOSE:To execute good communication processing and to achieve a simple and complete processed data processing, by setting a queue pointer and a communication buffer in the unit of each processor on a common memory and setting data to the buffer at communication. CONSTITUTION:After forming control information to a communication buffer 205, a JOBP110 connects the information to a queue pointer 200 and interrupts an IOP125. The IOP125 picks up a device number of I/O to check if it is in use. If vacant, an operation instruction and data are formed, and a start instruction is transmitted to the I/O 160, which returns the completion report to the IOP125. Further, the IOP125 stores the result in the communication buffer and connects it to a queue pointer 220 and interrupts the JOBP110. The JOBP110 delets the communication buffer 205 from the queue and returns the result of execution to a macroinstruction issuing task to release the waiting state of the task.
