Abstract
PURPOSE: To gasify coal in high efficiency, by a method wherein coal particle and high temp. char are mixed to heat the coal particle and, after heating, both of them are supplied to a gasifying furnace from a plurality of injection nozzles in a mixed state to eliminae non-uniformity of temp. distribution.
CONSTITUTION: The coal particle 11 in a pressurized atmosphere is sent to a mixer 31 by a gas stream transporting gas 12 and mixed with high temp. recycle char separated and recovered by acyclone 7 and preheated by thermal energy of said recycle char. The preheated coal particle and the recycle char are injected and supplied to a gasifying part 2 in a tangential direction with regard to the periphery of said gasifying part from a plurality of injection nozzles 6, 6' along with oxygen or air 13 in a mixed state to be gasified therin by oxygen or air 13. Because the coal particle and the recylce char are supplied to the gasifying part 2 with nearly the same temp. and mixed state, non-uniformity of temp. distribution in the vicinity of the injection nozzles is eliminated and gasifying efficiency of coal particle is enhanced and discharge of molten ash is smoothly carried out.
