Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve a control corresponding to the result of processing of a CPU again after a temporal failure, by outputting a control signal based on a sensor output only when a failure detection circuit outputs a failure signal. CONSTITUTION:A CPU13 processes various sensor output signals supplied from a multiplexer 11. Then, an interface circuit 15 supplies a control signal to a driving circuit 20 according to an output signal of the CPU13. At the state like this, if the next confirming signal is not supplied even when a prescribed time elapses after the confirming signal is supplied from the CPU13, a failure is detected with a failure detection circuit 22. When the failure is detected, a failure signal is supplied to the circuit 15 and a backup section 16. As a result, the backup section 16 outputs only a signal of requied minimum to run a car according to the sensor output, not to the control signal supplied from the circuit 15. When the failure is restored, the circuit 22 does not output the failure signal and the control signal from the circuit 15 is supplied to the circuit 20.
