Abstract
PURPOSE:To make deposition efficiency high, rate of deposition high and penetration shallow in a consumable electrode arc welding method by melting a solid wire and a flux cored wire simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A solid wire is used as a consumable electrode and a flux cored wire is supplied to the molten part thereof, whereby the amt. of deposition of the flux cored wire is made smaller than that of the solid wire, and therefore slag forming agents are relatively decreased and the workability of build-up welding is good. Also, the flux cored wire is used as a consumable electrode and the solid wire is supplied to the molten part thereof, whereby slag forming agents are relatively increased and bead shapes are improved. In addition, the results having the advantages of both mentioned above moderably in combination are obtained by using both of the solid wire and the flux cored wire as consumable electrodes.
