Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent line interruption and momentary interruption based on failures of a switch, by synthesizing outputs through parallel operation of an existing devide and a spare device. CONSTITUTION:A microwave reception signal is inputted to frequency converters 4A and 4B via an antenna 1, a circulator 2, and a hybrid 3, frequency-converted with a local oscillation signal applied via hybrids 32A and 32B and an IF signal output is produced. Both IF signals are adjusted for the phase fixedly at phase shifters 21A and 21B to be of the same phase and are synthesized at a hybrid 22. The synthesized output is applied to a hybrid 24 via a hybrid 23 and branched into two, and after the phase is fixedly adjusted with phase shifters 25A and 25B, they are inputted to frequency converters 6A and 6B, where the IF signal input is frequency-converted with the local oscillation signal of PLLs 35A and 35B to generate a microwave signal. Both the microwave signals are synthesized at a hybrid 26 and transmitted via a circulator 9 and an antenna 10.
