Abstract
PURPOSE:To elevate the measuring accuracy and also to make a device small- sized, by varying threshold voltage of a cathode signal in accordance with energy of a detected collector signal. CONSTITUTION:A sample 4 is installed onto a cathode electrode 1, and after that, prescribed voltage V is applied between the cathode electrode 1 and a collector electrode 2, and a collector signal and a cathode signal are counted simultaneously. In ths case, the cathode signal depends on energy of particles of a radiant ray. Therefore, a threshold level of the cathode signal is varied by using the collector signal being proportional to energy. Subsequently, a signal from particles of the radiant ray is selected by counting the collector signal and the cathode signal simultaneously. This signal is sent to a multi-channel analyzer 9 through a gate circuit 7.
