Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of a seal and fatigue settling of its lip part and eliminate its damage and oil leakage, by integrally providing a reinforcing sheet in a back side or internal part of the rod seal and extending the reinforcing sheet to the back part of a lip part. CONSTITUTION:A hollowed part 33 for housing a rod seal is formed to the lower internal peripheral edge of a rod guide 31, and the rod seal 34 is fitted to said hollowed part 33. The rod seal 34 is formed by rubber material, and its internal peripheral surface is provided with a lip part 35 slide contacted to a piston rod 12. Then a reinforcing sheet 36 is extensibly mounted almost fully throughout the back side of said rod seal 34. The reinforcing sheet 36 is formed by fluorin resin or the like, and extended to the back side of the lip part 35. Further this rod seal 34 is retained by a static seal 37.
