Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a high precision, high speed machining by a method wherein punching and caulking of iron core sheet are performed at a plural number of stations and each blanking die is rotated by an angle of 180 deg. after each press stroke. CONSTITUTION:A strip 28 upon reaching the station over a lower die 1 or 1' is alternately punched into the lower die 1 or 1' by a punch 23 or 23' that is alternately pressed down to perform punching. An iron core sheet 30 punched into the lower die 1 or 1' is then caulked on a receiving bed 31 designed to be pressed up by an actuating cylinder with a pressing force a little smaller than the pressing force of the punch 23 or 23'. Each pressing stroke causes a link chain 5 to rotate the lower die 1 or 1' so that a punched out iron core sheet 30 rotate by an angle of 180 deg.. Each punched iron core sheet 30 thus rotated by an angle of 180 deg. before it is piled upon one another, deviation of thickness in the sheet is eliminated by counterbalancing.
