Abstract

PURPOSE:To machine the slot opening edge without any damage on lamination of a laminated core consisting of thin steel plates by a method wherein after a yoke of a stator core is fixed by pressing at both side planes, machining is performed. CONSTITUTION:A stator core is placed on a pressing member 7 of a lower mechanism 1 of a forming device, and tip of the protruded part 12 of s shaping die 11 is situated in the slot 32. Next thereto an upper mechanizm 2 is lowered, and the first pressing member 19 touches the side of a yoke 31, and through a ram 17 of a press lowered, the upper plate 18 is lowered, and a yoke is firmly held at both side, upper and lower, and between a pair of pressing members 19, 7, and good laminating condition of thin steel plate is held at the core 30. By further lowering of the plate 18 the pressing members 19, 7 touches the plate 4, 18 through contraction of a spring 9, 21, and each shaping surfaces 13, 24 of the shaping die 11, 22 are pressed against opening edges 32 of the slots. By this method a stator core is shaped to be round at the opening edge of slots without any failure in lamination of thin plates.
