Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform accurate measurement in an extremely short time by measuring the length of each light and dark boundary line from a projector to an object by measuring the length of the dark or light part of each horizontal scanning line of a video signal from a TV camera. CONSTITUTION:A projector for generating a light and dark boundary clearly on the surface of an object 1 to be measured, and a television camera 4 is installed at right angles to the boundary line of the object 1. Then, the direction of horizontal scanning lines of the television camera 4 are made coincident with the boundary line of the object 1. For the purpose, the length of the dark or light part of each horizontal scanning line of a video signal from the television camera 4 is measured to obtain the length of each light and dark boundary line from the projector 3 to the object 1.
