Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform electric discharge machining operation at high machining speed, by collecting and forming many pipe electrodes to equired shape while applying pulse voltage independently to each of the pipe electrodes then jetting and sucking machining liquid through the pipe electrodes. CONSTITUTION:An electric discharge machining electrode is formed to prescribed shape by many pipe electrodes 1a-1e. Output formed into a pulse by rectifiers 7a- 7e is independently applied to each pipe electrode. Machining liquid in the pipe electrodes 1a-1e is jetted and sucked by a pump 4 and pump 5. Further a circulating direction of the machining liquid can be changed by direction selective control of a selector valve 6, and if the machining liquid is periodically changed its circulating direction, a good effect of removing machining chips or the like can be obtained. In this way, supply of the machining liquid is uniformly performed, permitting the electric discharge machining operation at high machining speed.
