Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion due to electrolytic corrosion of a feed plate and enable to carry out the machining for a work with a high machining accuracy by a method wherein rectifying elements are connected to the feed plate to divide a path of a spark current from an electric source into the current path for an ordinary half wave and the same for a reversed half wave. CONSTITUTION:The feed plates 50, 52 are located above the work 16 to contact slidingly with a wire electrode 10 and are connected to one pole side of the electric source 24 through respective forward direction rectifying element 54 and a reverse direction rectifying element 56 while the feed plates 60, 62 are located below the work 16 to slidingly contact with the wire electrode 10 and are connected to one pole side of the electric source 24 through respective forward direction rectifying element 64 and the reverse direction rectifying element 66 in the same manner. When the reverse half wave of the spark current flows in the feed plates 52, 62, for example, the elements 56, 66 are conducted and the current is flowed to the electrode 10 by the feed plates 52, 62. According to this constitution, the abrasion due to the electrolytic corrosion of the feed plate may be prevented effectively and the working accuracy may be improved.
