Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare precise film poor in variation of width and thickness of the film in high yields of edges by providing grooves with a specific width at positions wherewith both ends of the film come first in contact on a cooling roll and catching these edges with these grooves. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic resin having molten poly-epsilon-capramide as a main component is extruded by an external 1 as the film 4 from the slit of a T-die 2. The resin is supplied on a cooling roll 3 provided with one or two or more grooves 3' larger in depth than the average thickness of the film at the positions wherewith both edges 4' of the film first come in contact, the edge 4' of the film is fixed at the groove 3', one side of the film is brought into contact with the metallic surface, the other side is with the air, the film is cooled, cured and then released by a release roll 5.
