Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to realize high accuracy with one oscillator, by exciting a bending oscillation and a torsional oscillation independently and connecting two oscillations in series or parallel electrically. CONSTITUTION:In-phase exciting electrodes 1102, 1104 and 1103, 1105 are provided to one of two arms of a tuning fork type quartz oscillator and an exciting electric field is applied in a cross section 1101 of the tuning fork arm by making the exciting electrodes 1102 and 1103 to opposite phase for torsional oscillation. On the other hand, in-phase exciting electrodes 1202, 1204 and 1203, 1205 are provided to another arm, the exciting electrodes 1202 and 1203 are made to opposite phase to apply a parallel electric field toward lengthwise detection of the oscillators for the bending oscillation for a tuning fork arm 1206. The two oscillations are electrically combined in series or parallel.
