Abstract

PURPOSE: To homogenize the pressure distribution of paint inside and inner pipe and to keep its flow speed constant, by constructing a supply header with a double pipe and locating an expansible pipe, which pressure fluid will be packed in, concentrically through the inner pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Paint fed through a supply header 6 is injeted through an injection nozzle 3 and applied to a workpiece 1 such as paper. The supply header 6 is constructed with a double pipe, and an expansible pipe 9 is located concentrically through an inner pipe 8. Owing to this construction, the expansible pipe 9 gradually enlarges its diameter from its one end to the other end so as to compensate the pressure drop and the flow speed decrease of the paint flowing through the inner pipe 8. Consequently, the pressure distribution of the paint inside the inner pipe 9 is homogenized, and the flow speed of the paint is made constant.
